Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to oversee and carry out a variety of grounds maintenance activities across our client portfolio.

This Team Leader role requires a background in grounds maintenance and horticulture with experience in organising day to day activities. Based in Stoke on Trent, you will be completing a variety of grounds maintenance roles and tasks on client sites including Schools, Businesses, Hospitals, Police Stations and Housing Estates.

General day to day duties will include:

Liaising with the client / site managers and residents
Completing paperwork and adhering to the companies Health and Safety policy
Managing other members of the team and checking works completed
Organising the days activities and being able to work to strict deadlines
Grass cutting using a ride on mower
Grass strimming
Hedge cutting and shrub pruning
Leaf collection
Weed control
Other horticultural activities as required
Providing feedback to management regarding the site appearance and recommendations.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor environments.
Supervising experience leading teams.

A clear and clean Enhanced DBS will be required.

Full clean driving license required with the ability to tow a trailer desirable.

The following qualifications will be advantageous:

Safe use of a Ride on Mower
PA1 PA6 Spraying qualifications

The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication/organisational skills and have a positive work ethic/attitude.
