Duties

Cultivate and maintain various types of gardens, ensuring optimal growth and health of plants.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, weeding, and general garden maintenance.
Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, and mulching to keep grounds tidy.
Implement irrigation systems effectively to ensure proper watering of plants and gardens.
Monitor plant health for signs of disease or pests, taking appropriate action when necessary.
Assist in the design and layout of new garden areas or landscaping projects as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening tools and equipment after use.

Skills

Proficient in growing various plants, flowers, and shrubs with an understanding of their specific care requirements.
Experience with hand tools such as spades, rakes, and shears as well as power tools like lawn mowers and trimmers.
Knowledgeable in groundskeeping practices to ensure the upkeep of outdoor spaces.
Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques to enhance the beauty of gardens.
Ability to efficiently irrigate gardens using appropriate methods for different plant types.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing outdoor environments.
