The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall is an award winning venue specialising in weddings, events, and conferences. The Woodlands has rapidly gained recognition and awards as a destination venue for high quality customer service, food offering, events space and accommodation.
We are actively expanding our team due to the continued growth and development of the estate. With extensive renovation plans to include a fully serviced hotel, fine dining restaurant, hotel bedrooms and event space, we are looking for hard working, driven individuals to bring a positive mindset and can-do attitude to drive our business forward.
We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Assistant who will work with the team on the Hothorpe Hall Estate. A great opportunity to work within a natural setting, ensuring that the estate is maintained to an excellent standard throughout. The working pattern for this role requires the individual to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends. The role reports to the Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain and install seasonal plants within the planting scheme of the estate.
- Grass cutting and ensuring the flower beds are well maintained.
- To ensure daily, weekly and monthly grounds tasks are completed within expected time frame.
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all.
- To ensure the outside and grounds of the venue is set and tidy prior to events and weddings.
- To ensure that all duties and performance standards comply with current Health & Safety Procedures and Standards of Work.
- To assist in ensuring all grounds equipment is maintained and kept in good working order.
- Highlight and if needed deal with any pest problems that may damage the plants around the estate.
- Any additional duties as required to ensure a guest experience for our guests.
