GET Property Management is an established and growing property management company responsible for the day-to-day operations and upkeep of Time Technology Park — a thriving commercial hub in Simonstone. We’re now looking for a skilled and hands-on Grounds and Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team and help keep our sites looking their best all year round.
About the Role
As a Grounds and Maintenance Operative, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the presentation, safety, and functionality of our outdoor spaces. From manicured lawns to well-kept pathways, your work will make a real difference to the first impression of our properties.
You’ll bring solid knowledge of plants and garden care — particularly pruning, hedge trimming, and lawn maintenance — while also being confident using tools and machinery to keep our sites in top condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all grounds and landscape maintenance across sites
- Carry out regular mowing, strimming, pruning, and weeding
- Use a range of hand and power tools to maintain trees, shrubs, and hedges
- Plant, cultivate, and care for flowers, plants, and trees throughout the year
- Identify and treat common pests and plant diseases
- Keep outdoor areas clean and tidy through litter picking, leaf blowing, and pressure washing
- Maintain pathways and driveways, removing moss, weeds, and debris
- Carry out basic machinery checks and maintenance
- Be available for occasional out-of-hours gritting duties during winter months
- Support the wider GET maintenance team with general repairs and site tasks as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in grounds or property maintenance (commercial experience preferred)
- A good understanding of plants, horticulture, and outdoor maintenance practices
- Confidence using tools and small machinery (e.g., mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers)
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence is needed.
