Grounds Maintenance Operative
Based at The Carrot Wash, North Pickenham | Full-Time | Permanent
Competitive hourly pay | Monday to Friday | Immediate Start Available | Monday-Friday (7.30am-4.00pm winter season), Monday-Friday (7.30am-5.00pm summer season). Plus a monthly Saturday shift may be required.
About the Role
TTSR are seeking a skilled and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across a range of client sites in Bristol. This is a long-term position with year-round work, offering stability, on-the-job training, and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, your main duties will includ
Operate machinery including ride-on and pedestrian mowers
- Grass cutting
- Strimming
- Hedge/shrub/tree trimming
- Fencing
- Planting
- Firewood and smokeless fuel preparation and delivery
- Be Health & Safety aware, ensuring PPE is worn at all times and that procedures are followed carefully
- To always remember, that you are an Ambassador of TTSR, and must therefore show respect to colleagues, clients and members of the public at all times
- Be able to complete/follow any necessary paperwork relating to the tasks at hand e.g. Vehicle Check Forms, Risk Assessments, Method Statements
Required Qualifications
- A clean and valid driving license (required)
- CSCS Card
- Lantra Awards Certificates: Excavator; Brush cutters/Trimmers; Pedestrian Mowers; Woodchippers; Chainsaw Operation; Ride on Mowers
- Rolo Health & Safety Awareness
- First Aid Certificate
- PA1/PA6 Spraying Qualification
Any of the above qualifications would be an advantage. On the job training will be provided and the Company will support you in gaining further certified qualifications on successful passing of the probationary period.
