
Business Development Manager – Midlands & Wales
£50,000 base salary + £10,000 - £15,000 OTE + Benefits
Our Company:
PSD Groundscare, the national distributor of professional groundscare machinery for Eliet, Canycom, EcoTech, GRIN, Koeppl, and Sabo, is expanding. We're now recruiting a Business Development Manager to cover Central England and Wales, supporting our dealer network, delivering machinery demonstrations, and driving sales growth across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in groundscare machinery, dealer development, or equipment sales, who enjoys building relationships and working hands-on with high-quality professional machinery.
The Role:
As our regional Business Development Manager, you'll be the face of PSD across Central England & Wales. You'll work closely with existing dealers and hire businesses, recruit new partners, and provide first-class product demonstrations using a company vehicle and trailer.
You'll represent a market-leading portfolio including:
- Eliet – Professional green waste shredders & innovative lawncare machinery.
- Canycom – Ride-on brushcutting and high grass mowers.
- EcoTech – Pedestrian & remote control high grass & bank solutions.
- GRIN – High-performance pulverising machines.
- Koeppl – Multi-functional high grade 2-wheel tractors.
- Sabo – Premium pedestrian and autonomous mowing technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support an existing dealer and hire network.
- Recruit new dealer partners and deliver product training.
- Prospect and develop new business within the hire sector.
- Deliver professional machinery demonstrations using a company vehicle and trailer.
- Promote and grow sales of the PSD portfolio.
- Build strong relationships with dealers, hire companies, contractors, councils, and other key accounts.
- Manage a healthy sales pipeline and update CRM with all activity.
- Complete monthly reporting, forecasts, and administrative tasks accurately.
- Represent PSD at trade shows, dealer events, and manufacturer training sessions.
- Monitor competitor products, market trends, and customer needs.
- Ensure all activities meet legal, safety, and compliance standards.
About You:
We're looking for a confident and motivated individual who can combine technical understanding with relationship-building skills. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Experience in groundscare, horticulture, agriculture, or machinery sales (Preferred but not essential).
- Strong mechanical or operational knowledge of professional groundscare equipment.
- The ability to communicate effectively with dealers, end users, and procurement partners.
- A full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel extensively across the region.
- Confidence delivering product demos and explaining technical features in a clear, customer-friendly way.
- A proactive, positive approach and the ability to represent PSD professionally at all times.
Sales experience is beneficial but full training and support will be provided for the chosen candidate.
