Position: Grounds Manager
Location: St Helens
Salary: £30k - £32K (Possibly £33k depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 per week, over a flexible working contract (will be required to work some weekends or for events on a rota basis).

They are seeking a dedicated and proactive Grounds Manager to join their team.
About Our Client:
Our client manages six Living Memorial Parks across British woodlands and landscapes, fostering meaningful partnerships with key accounts, including funeral directors and community organisations. They are committed to providing more choices and support in conversations about death and dying, enhancing consumer and customer experiences at each park.
About the Role:
As the Grounds Manager, you will lead the Park Grounds Team, ensuring the highest standards of park maintenance and customer experience. You will plan and manage grounds maintenance to ensure the short, medium, and long-term success of the park.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the Park Grounds Team, including recruitment, training, and development.
• Oversee park grounds budgetary control and procurement activities.
• Coordinate essential park services such as maintenance, cleaning, and security.
• Ensure all park risk assessments and health and safety checks are completed.
• Deliver high standards of grounds maintenance, including tree felling, mowing, and planting.
• Facilitate the commercial team's ability to meet sales targets through effective stock creation and landscaping projects.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and woodland management.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and navigate sensitive discussions with professionalism and empathy.
Desirable:
• Grave digging experience.
• Digger and dumper experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
