Chappell Enterprises UK is recruiting on behalf of our client, a premier sports training centre in Norfolk, seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Supervisor to join their elite team.
About Our Client:
Our client, is a professional football club based in Norfolk, established in the early 1900s. The club boasts a proud heritage, a dedicated fan base, and a deep-rooted connection to the local community.
About the Role:
As the Grounds Supervisor, you will be integral to maintaining the First Team stadium to professional standards. You will also act as a deputy to the Assistant Head of Grounds, helping to implement an ambitious turf care strategy and leading the groundstaff in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead groundstaff in the absence of senior management
• Maintain natural and artificial playing surfaces to elite performance standards
• Operate and maintain sports turf machinery and SGL lighting rigs
• Deliver seasonal renovations and pitch improvement programmes
• Keep accurate records of fertiliser, chemical, and machinery inventories
• Ensure daily pre-use equipment checks and safe operating procedures
• Maintain training goals, nets, ball-stop systems, and landscaped areas
Requirements:
Essential:
• Proven experience in the sports turf industry
• Excellent understanding of turf care equipment, maintenance, and feeding programmes
• Strong communication skills with proven team leadership experience
• Proficiency in email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desirable:
• IOSH qualification
• Familiarity with SGL grow light systems
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Sports Turf or equivalent
• PA1, PA6, and PA2A spraying certifications
• Full UK driving licence
