About the roles

We are recruiting a mobile operative to join our busy Sidmouth team. The role will involve emptying public litter bins, street cleansing / weeding, cleaning and stocking public lavatories, and general public realm maintenance. Additionally, you may be asked to undertake maintaining our outstanding environment predominantly through general grounds maintenance, hedge cutting, grass cutting, weeding and other duties assigned by the area team leader.

About you

You will need to be able to work diligently with minimal supervision, including some weekends and on public holidays. You must have practical experience in a cleansing role, and you will need to be able to work seasonal hours (*41.5 hours in summer, 32.5 hours in winter – average of 37 hours per week). A valid driver’s licence is essential, and a category C1 C1E or C driving licence (or B licence issued prior to Jan 1997) would be a distinct advantage.
