GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented and methodical Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance Department on a permanent basis from 2nd February 2026 at B&Q Distribution Warehouse in Worksop, S80 3AR.
The successful candidates responsibilities will include:
- Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general upkeep of landscaped areas
- Shrub bed maintenance, fertilising, and plant care
- Weed control and knapsack works
- Using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and efficiently when necessary
- Working as alone to ensure sites remain clean, safe, and well-presented
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week timings to be agreed to suit the client, site and the successful candidate
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role, you are to possess the below knowledge and skills:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A full UK driving licence (B+E entitlement is desirable but not essential)
- A PA1 and PA6A pesticide qualification is essential
- Skills, knowledge and/or training in horticulture (desirable but not essential)
- Skills, knowledge and/or certification in general landscaping tasks such as planting, turfing and installation of hard surfaces (desirable but not essential)
