Position: Senior Sports Design Technician

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

They are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Sports Design Technician to join their dynamic team.

About the Role:
As a Senior Sports Design Technician, you will be pivotal in the design and delivery of diverse sports projects. You will manage technical design packages, coordinate with project leads, and provide technical guidance to junior team members. Your role will ensure that design outputs meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical design and development of sports facilities at all levels.
• Produce, review, and coordinate detailed drawing packages.
• Coordinate design information with project leads, engineers, and external consultants.
• Manage and support BIM workflows, including model coordination and quality control.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of design outputs.
• Provide technical support and informal mentoring to junior technicians.
• Contribute to design reviews, value engineering exercises, and technical issue resolution.
• Maintain awareness of industry standards and emerging trends in sports facility design.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit on live projects.
• Experience coordinating BIM models and documentation using Autodesk Construction Cloud (Client).
• Strong technical design capability with experience in complex sports projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Confident communicator with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
Desirable:
• Experience in sports surface design.
• Passion for sport and designing facilities from grassroots to elite-level.
