Coverage Area: West Herts, London, Northamptonshire, East Midlands, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time

Chappell Enterprises UK is recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable provider of maintenance and landscaping services. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated and proactive Contracts Manager to join their team.

Our client has been a trusted specialist in grounds maintenance since 1984, providing high-quality services for single and multi-site contracts across the public and private sectors. With a dedicated team and decades of expertise, we maintain over 2,000 sites, ensuring exceptional service standards.
About the Role:
As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing police contracts and ensuring the seamless delivery of services across various regions including West Herts, London, Northamptonshire, East Midlands, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, and Sussex. You will coordinate daily operations, liaise with clients and sub-contractors, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule work for 11 one-man teams daily using Proof of Delivery software.
• Respond to emails and calls from clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues.
• Monitor helpdesk status and organise reactive maintenance with the helpdesk admin team.
• Liaise with sub-contractors for site visits, quotations, and review of completed works.
• Monitor staff and job productivity, adjusting schedules as needed.
• Coordinate HR tasks with the Compliance Manager, including booking holidays, pay reviews, and training.
• Source stock, equipment, and machinery as necessary.
• Quote for landscaping and planting works on multiple sites.
• Attend site and team meetings as requested by clients.
• Monitor POD images to determine if return visits are required.
• Ensure quality inspections of sites and conduct H&S spot checks.
• Deliver Toolbox Talks to remote staff.
• Assist with scheduling and delivering gritting and snow clearing during winter.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Proven experience in a contracts manager role.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to pass police vetting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using Proof of Delivery software or similar.
Desirable:
• Experience in the maintenance or landscaping industry.
• Familiarity with HR tasks and compliance.
• Knowledge of H&S regulations.
