Experienced grounds maintenance operative required for an established and growing grounds maintenance company to provide essential grounds maintenance work across various commercial locations.
Duties and responsibilities involve:
- Moving between locations with equipment on a trailer using provided vehicles.
- Utilising walk behind and ride on lawnmowers to maintain grassed areas.
- Using strimmers, chainsaws and hedge cutters to maintain borders, hedges, trees and bushes.
- Identification and removal of weeds or other non-desirable plants.
- Turfing, planting of shrubs or other plants as per client specification.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment, and reporting any equipment malfunctions or damage to supervisors for repair or replacement.
- Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when handling chemicals or operating equipment.
- Any other duties as directed.
Requirements:
- Experience in Grounds Maintenance is essential.
- Full UK driving licence essential, with experience in towing a trailer containing heavy machinery.
- Must be over the age of 25.
- Chainsaw, brush cutter, spraying (PA1/PA6) and other GM competencies are desirable.
- Professional.
- Punctual.
