Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The role will also include some time working on site with our landscape construction teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and also have experience in landscape construction as well. This role involves working with various tools and machinery to ensure that grounds are kept in pristine condition.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Driving ride on mowers.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Assist in construction projects related to landscaping and garden design.
- Apply horticultural knowledge to enhance plant health and growth.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Preparing ground ready for turfing, grass seeding and planting.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening of at least 3 Years.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for operating and maintaining equipment.
- Familiarity with horticulture practices will be an advantage.
- Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to grounds maintenance and landscape construction.
- A qualification in horticulture is essential.
- Full uk driving license .
- CSCS card is preferable but not essential.
- PA1 and PA6 is essential.
- A background in construction may also be advantageous for specific projects. We encourage individuals who are passionate about outdoor work and possess the necessary skills to apply for this rewarding position.
