Salary: £27,500 - £29,500 dependant on experience

The role:
We’re looking for reliable, motivated Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our growing team. You’ll work on specialist sites such as substations and gas terminals, helping to maintain high-profile, safety-critical environments to an exceptional standard.
You’ll usually work as part of a two-person crew, supported by experienced contract managers. There may be occasional overnight stays when working away from home - these are infrequent and paid with additional allowances.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out professional grounds maintenance works across utility sites
- Working safely in high-risk environments, following strict H&S procedures
- Operating machinery and equipment in line with training and certification
- Using PA1/PA6 spraying qualifications (knapsack experience preferred)
- Working independently and as part of a close-knit team
Please note: Access to the sites requires passing computer-based and practical assessments. Full support, training, and revision materials are provided.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Strong understanding of health & safety in practical environments
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable (not essential):
- NPTC PA1 & PA6 (knapsack spraying preferred)
- PA2AR (quad bike spraying)
- Woodchipper certification
- Utility Arboriculture qualifications
- SHEA Passports (Gas, Power or Water)
- Manual Handling & First Aid
- Grounds Maintenance qualifications
