Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
Based near Newton Abbot / Teigngrace
Full-time | Monday to Friday
£13.50 – £15.50 per hour depending on experience
We are a well-established grounds maintenance company working across schools, commercial sites, housing associations and public spaces across the South West.
Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our team and run a two-person van-based round maintaining a portfolio of sites.
This role would suit someone already working in grounds maintenance, local authority maintenance, or commercial grounds miantenace, who is ready to take responsibility for their own sites and team.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading a two-person team maintaining a range of customer sites to a high standard.
Typical work includes:
- Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride-on mowers
- Strimming and edging
- Hedge cutting and pruning
- Weed control and general site maintenance
- Ensuring sites are maintained to specification
- Recording work on our mobile app with before and after photos
- Driving between customer sites across the working day
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should have:
- Proven grounds maintenance experience
- Confidence using commercial equipment such as strimmers, hedge cutters and ride-on mowers
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Experience leading or supervising a small team
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Good communication and the ability to represent the company professionally on customer sites
Applicants should also be based within approximately 30 minutes of Newton Abbot / Teigngrace.

This is a hands-on outdoor role working in all seasons, and applicants should be comfortable with physical work and working outside.
