We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our grounds maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work and has a keen interest in maintaining the aesthetics and safety of outdoor spaces. The primary duties will involve grass cutting and litter picking, ensuring our grounds are well-kept and presentable.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Perform routine grass cutting using various types of mowers and trimming equipment.
- Conduct litter picking to maintain cleanliness across all maintained areas.
- Operate a range of hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment used.
- Report any issues or hazards identified on-site to the management promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment, including lawnmowers and hand tools.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Good time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled hours.
- A team player who can also work independently.
- Attention to detail and pride in creating visually appealing outdoor spaces.
