The role
As Assistant Gardener, you will work as part of the Garden Maintenance team, helping maintain a portfolio of established private gardens to an excellent standard.

You will support experienced gardeners and supervisors with year-round garden maintenance, plant care, pruning, lawn care and planting, while continuing to develop your own horticultural knowledge and practical skills.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining high-quality private gardens to an excellent standard
Carrying out seasonal pruning and general plant care
Maintaining borders and completing general horticultural tasks
Supporting lawn care and seasonal treatments
Assisting with planting and soft landscaping projects
Working alongside experienced gardeners and supervisors
Helping ensure each garden is presented professionally for clients

What we're looking for

Previous gardening or horticultural experience
A genuine interest in developing a career within horticulture
Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
A professional and customer-focused approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to learn
Full UK driving licence

Salary and benefits

£26,500 - £28,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Working hours

Monday to Friday
7:30am - 4:30pm

This is a full-time, in-person position based from Twyford, Berkshire and working across client gardens in the surrounding area.
