The role
As Assistant Gardener, you will work as part of the Garden Maintenance team, helping maintain a portfolio of established private gardens to an excellent standard.
You will support experienced gardeners and supervisors with year-round garden maintenance, plant care, pruning, lawn care and planting, while continuing to develop your own horticultural knowledge and practical skills.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining high-quality private gardens to an excellent standard
- Carrying out seasonal pruning and general plant care
- Maintaining borders and completing general horticultural tasks
- Supporting lawn care and seasonal treatments
- Assisting with planting and soft landscaping projects
- Working alongside experienced gardeners and supervisors
- Helping ensure each garden is presented professionally for clients
What we're looking for
- Previous gardening or horticultural experience
- A genuine interest in developing a career within horticulture
- Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence
