About Our Client:

About the Role:
As the Head Grounds Person, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and preparation of all playing and training surfaces. You will lead a dedicated team, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the club's reputation for excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain sports surfaces to the highest industry standards.
• Manage and monitor the performance of the Grounds Department staff.
• Develop and update a planned maintenance works programme.
• Oversee plant and equipment maintenance and secure storage.
• Ensure competitive procurement of plant, equipment, and consumables.
• Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance.
• Manage financial budgets for grounds maintenance.
• Supervise contractors and sub-contractors on-site.
• Stay updated on industry trends and propose innovative improvements.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
• Proven experience in grounds management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent budget management capabilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to manage contractors and sub-contractors.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
• Experience in sports grounds maintenance.
• Familiarity with the latest industry trends.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
