Looking for a long-term administration role where your organisation and follow-through make a practical difference? Our client is seeking a Contract Administrator who enjoys helping customers, keeping schedules accurate and making sure enquiries reach a resolution. You do not need previous contract administration experience: a strong administrative background and a genuine willingness to learn matter more.
About Our Client:
Our client provides grounds maintenance and vegetation management for public and private sites, with services carried out by its directly employed operational staff. Behind that work is the administration that keeps schedules on track, customers informed and colleagues clear on what needs to happen next.
About the Role:
As a Contract Administrator, you will help keep day-to-day contract activity organised, handling customer contact and maintaining the information colleagues need to deliver services. You will work with the contract manager and relevant colleagues to allocate enquiries, track progress and follow actions through to completion. Internal systems training will help you build your knowledge, with the temp-to-perm arrangement offering a route towards long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming telephone calls and emails, providing helpful responses and directing queries appropriately.
• Manage customer enquiries and complaints, keeping customers informed and escalating issues when needed.
• Update customer relationship management systems with accurate records of conversations, actions and outcomes.
• Maintain client schedules and communicate changes clearly to the people involved.
• Allocate enquiries to relevant colleagues and follow up outstanding actions through to completion.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to help the contract manager keep work organised.
Requirements:
Essential -
• Extensive general administrative experience, gained in administration, reception, sales administration or a similar role.
• Confident use of laptops, business systems and electronic records.
• Strong customer service skills and a clear, professional telephone manner.
• Good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing enquiries.
• A proactive approach, willingness to learn and interest in long-term employment.
• A valid driving licence and the ability to drive to the office.
Desirable -
• Experience handling customer complaints and resolving queries.
• Familiarity with customer databases, scheduling or service coordination.
• Previous Contract Administrator experience would be useful, but is not required; no specific formal qualifications are needed.
Why Join our Client?
• Put your existing administrative strengths to work in a Contract Administrator role without needing a contracts background.
• Receive internal training on the systems you will use.
• Explore a temp-to-perm route with an employer seeking a long-term hire.
• Enjoy a clearly defined working schedule, with a 3pm finish on Fridays.
• See the practical impact of your work through better communication, accurate schedules and resolved enquiries.
