Job Overview
Druids Lodge Polo Club is looking for a new Groundsman to maintain and help improve our playing and livery facilities, feeding the ponies in the fields in the winter and set up the pitches/grounds for play on polo days.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and be able to take the initiative on their work and spot maintenance tasks that need their attention.

This is a full-time role and can include accommodation including bills. On the job training will be provided where necessary.

Duties

Mowing and maintenance of polo grounds and surrounding areas.
Setting up of grounds for polo days including line marking, setting up goal posts and scoreboard.
Perform regular groundskeeping tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor areas.
Ensuring the yard is stocked with hay and straw using our tractor with a front loader.
Feeding hay to ponies in the fields using tractor.
Regular maintenance of vehicles and machinery.
Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and strimming.
Build and repair fences and structures as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge in the upkeep of outdoor facilities.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
Driving Licence
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks such as digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in outdoor spaces.
Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools safely is desirable.

Pay: £19,611.80-£23,492.04 per year
