Job Description

Part-Time Gardener

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Gardener to maintain the outdoor areas of three pub beer gardens and an adjoining car park.

Hours

Approximately 4–6 hours per week during the spring and summer months.
Reduced hours during autumn and winter, depending on seasonal requirements.
Flexible working schedule to be agreed.

Key Responsibilities

Mowing and edging grassed areas.
Weeding flower beds, borders, pathways, and paved areas.
Pruning shrubs, hedges, and plants as required.
Planting and maintaining seasonal flowers and displays.
Sweeping and tidying beer garden areas and the car park.
Removing litter and garden waste.
Monitoring the general appearance and condition of outdoor spaces.
Reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns.

Requirements

Previous gardening or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining attractive outdoor spaces.
Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of carrying out gardening duties.
Own transport and gardening tools are advantageous but not essential.
