Dear Hiring Committee,

I am looking to furter advance my knowledge and skills in turf management at a championship golf course.

Currently, I work at Arendal and Omegn Golf Club in southern Norway, where I have taken on primary responsibility for maintaining the greens and bunkers. My role also involves tree felling and a wide range of daily operations essential to the effective management of a golf facility.

With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality and culinary industry, I have honed my skills in precision and attention to detail—qualities I believe are vital for maintaining the exceptional standards that your golf course is renowned for.

I have played golf since 1996 and have good knowledge of how a golfcourse should be set up for playability, both for amatuers and proffesionals. I currently play at a 12 hcp.

Throughout my four seasons at Arendal and Omegn Golf Club, I have gained in-depth knowledge of turf management and the critical practices needed to achieve superior results. My educational background in agronomy, combined with my extensive hospitality experience, enables me to offer outstanding customer service while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour with both guests and teammates.

I have successfully completed the NGA/NGF's foundational greenkeeper course and am eager to advance my expertise by enrolling in the NGA/NGF’s (or similar education trough BIGGA) advanced greenkeeper course.
