Role Overview
As the Static Site Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small on-site team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional horticultural and grounds maintenance standards. You will organise daily tasks, support your team, and act as the main point of contact for the client at Aztec West.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a static grounds maintenance team.
- Organise daily and weekly work schedules to ensure efficient task completion.
- Carry out a wide range of gardening and grounds maintenance duties, including:
- Grass cutting, edging, strimming, and lawn care
- Hedge trimming, pruning, weeding, and planting
- Beds and borders maintenance
- Leaf clearance and seasonal tasks
- Litter picking and ensuring site cleanliness
- Use and basic maintenance of horticultural equipment
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and health & safety requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to new or less-experienced team members.
- Monitor site standards and report issues, hazards, or improvement opportunities.
- Maintain good communication with clients and management, providing updates when required.
- Ensure accurate completion of timesheets, job sheets, and site documentation.
- Promote a safe, positive, and productive working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of proven team-leading or supervisory experience within grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a similar outdoor services role.
- Strong practical horticultural skills and experience with grounds maintenance machinery.
- Ability to plan workloads, manage time effectively, and lead by example.
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable if machinery transport is required).
