The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in grounds maintenance and machinery operation, with a focus on delivering high-quality public services in a safe and efficient manner.Candidate ResponsibilitiesAs a Grounds Maintenance Operative/Driver, your key responsibilities will include: Operating tractors and attachments such as mowers, trailers, snow ploughs, and gritters to support council services.Carrying out grounds maintenance activities including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and verge management.Assisting with winter maintenance tasks, including leaf clearance.Transporting materials, equipment, and waste using council vehicles.Performing routine checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance of machinery.Ensuring health and safety regulations and council policies are adhered to at all times.Collaborating with other council teams to deliver a high standard of public service.Providing excellent customer service when interacting with residents and visitors.
