Position: Grounds Person - Cricket focus
Location: Loughborough
Salary: £24,794 - £26,230 Pa DOE
Hours: Based on a 37 hour week but seasonalised hours* (to be confirmed)
April to September - 44 hours per week
October to March - 30 hours per week

They are seeking a Cricket focused and skilled Grounds Person to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Grounds Person, you will be an integral part of the cricket grounds team. Your role will involve preparing and maintaining natural and synthetic sports areas, ensuring they meet national and international standards. You will also be responsible for general grounds maintenance and liaising with various stakeholders to deliver top-notch sports surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set out cricket pitches to a County standard.
- Use specialised sports ground maintenance equipment.
- Maintain quality sports grounds and gardens.
- Landscape sports grounds and garden areas according to specific plans.
- Protect cricket pitches from inclement weather using sheeting or covers.
- General maintenance of tools and equipment.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in groundsmanship.
- Skilled in the use of sports ground maintenance equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working with national teams or governing bodies.
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques.
- Familiarity with synthetic sports surfaces.
