Our client, is a professional football club based in Norfolk, established in the early 1900s. The club boasts a proud heritage, a dedicated fan base, and a deep-rooted connection to the local community.
About the Role:
As a Skilled Grounds Person, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the football club's playing surfaces. Your role will involve ensuring that the pitches are in optimal condition for training sessions and matches, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and prepare sports turf to the highest standards.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of playing surfaces.
• Implement effective turf management practices.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events.
• Collaborate with the grounds team to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Proven experience in groundskeeping or sports turf maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of turf management practices.
• Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable:
• PA1 & PA6 certification.
• NVQ Level 2 in sports turf or similar qualification.
• Experience working in a sports environment.
