About the Role
Countrywide Grounds Maintenance are seeking a skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our friendly and professional team.
If you have hands-on experience in grounds maintenance and you take pride in delivering a high standard of work, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be joining one of our mobile teams, carrying out grounds maintenance & winter services across a variety of sites including NHS facilities, police stations, retail parks, and schools throughout the North East.
Requirements
- Must be aged 30 or over
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years (essential)
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role (essential)
- Experience using commercial mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters and other grounds maintenance equipment
- Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) – desirable
- Ability to work efficiently and safely in an outdoor environment
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Must be willing to undergo a DBS check (required for work on school contracts)
Key Responsibilities
- Grass mowing and strimming
- Hedge cutting and pruning
- Weeding and litter picking
- General grounds maintenance and upkeep
- Winter services – Gritting & Snow clearance
- Driving company vehicles between sites

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)

- Chainsaw Licence (preferred)
