Chappell Enterprises UK is recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist contractor in sports pitch renovations, seeking a dedicated Tractor Driver to join their team.
About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established UK contractor with a modern fleet of plant and equipment, delivering earthmoving, landscaping, and specialist sports pitch renovations. A pioneer in laser-guided sports field trenching on existing turf, they also design and construct nature reserves, wildlife habitats, reservoirs, lakes, and ponds. Offering a full design-to-construction service, they are committed to quality and client satisfaction, serving both professional and grassroots facilities with high-performance playing surfaces.
About the Role:
As a Tractor Driver, you will be an integral part of a mobile operations team, responsible for executing sports pitch renovation projects nationwide. Your role will involve operating tractors and related machinery to support various renovation tasks, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of sports turf.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate tractors and trailers on sports turf sites.
• Handle material movement and site preparation.
• Assist with overseeding and other renovation support work.
• Operate specialist equipment such as vertidrains.
• Support general renovation and maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Proven tractor driving experience in sports turf, agriculture, or similar fields.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home as projects require.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work within a team on varied sites.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different project demands.
Desirable:
• Experience with sports turf renovation equipment.
• Previous experience in sports pitch renovations.
• Familiarity with vertidrains and related machinery.
