Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring all grounds are safe, attractive, and well-kept. Responsibilities
- Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and pruning trees using hand tools and power tools
- Operating irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and grass
- Planting, fertilising, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and other greenery
- Maintaining pathways, lawns, flower beds, and other landscaped areas
- Assisting with the installation of new landscaping features and plantings
- Performing routine inspections to identify and address any grounds-related issues
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and stored safely after use
- Adhering to health and safety regulations during all grounds maintenance activities
Requirements
- Experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
- Growing experience or knowledge of plant care and landscape design is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and operating equipment
- A valid licence is desirable but not mandatory; own transport is an advantage
