Solberge Hall is a stunning exclusive-use weddings and events venue set within beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. We pride ourselves on immaculate presentation, exceptional service, and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.
We are now looking for a dedicated and hardworking Groundsman to join our team and help maintain the high standards of our grounds and gardens year-round.
The Role
As Groundsman, you will be responsible for the upkeep and presentation of our landscaped gardens, lawns, driveways, and outdoor event spaces. The grounds play a key role in wedding photography and guest experience, so attention to detail is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lawn care, mowing, edging, and turf maintenance
- Hedge cutting, pruning, planting, and seasonal garden care
- Maintaining pathways, driveways, and car parks
- Setting up and maintaining outdoor event areas
- Leaf clearance and general grounds upkeep
- Basic maintenance tasks and supporting the wider venue team when required
- Ensuring all equipment is used safely and properly maintained
About You
- Previous groundskeeping experience preferred
- A strong work ethic with pride in maintaining high standards
- Good knowledge of plants and seasonal garden care
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Flexible approach to working hours (occasional weekend work may be required during peak wedding season)
