We are seeking a Grounds Person to join our Estates Team at Haberdashers' Elstree Schools. Under the direction of the Head of Grounds, you will play a vital role in preparing and maintaining our wide variety of sports surfaces and surrounding areas, ensuring our campus remains welcoming and professional for students, staff, and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality sports surfaces including cricket, rugby, football, and lacrosse, as appropriate to the season.
- Maintain non-turf surfaces such as 2G pitches, netball courts, tennis courts, and synthetic athletics tracks.
- Assist with the renovation and upkeep of sports facilities.
- Identify and treat weeds, pests, and diseases as necessary.
- Perform basic machinery maintenance, set-up, and cleaning.
- Support the maintenance of roads, paths, and fencing, including clearing leaves, debris, and litter.
- Assist with snow and ice clearance, including spreading salt or grit.
- Provide assistance to other departments as required.
