Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grounds maintenance operative to join our team. The ideal candidate to be experienced in this role & will have horticulture interest an advantage but a strong understanding of garden & grounds maintenance is key. This role involves working outdoors, tending to various sites, and ensuring the overall tidiness and aesthetics of the spaces. If you enjoy working with your hands and have a keen eye for detail, this position is perfect for you. We carry out jobs at domestic & commercial premises , use of van & equipment for work. We would consider full, part time or a young person to train.
Duties
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and maintaining garden areas.
- Participate in landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, weeding, hedge trimming, mulching & other activities.
- Conduct groundskeeping tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor spaces.
- Collaborate with team members to implement new gardening projects and improve existing landscapes.
- Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- A keen interest in horticulture and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Pa1 & Pa6 spraying certificate or equivalent an advantage.
