Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and friendly handyman to help keep our children’s nursery safe and well maintained. Duties include carrying out basic repairs, maintaining furniture and equipment, ensuring outdoor play areas are safe, and assisting with general upkeep such as painting and small maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be practical, trustworthy, and committed to creating a safe environment for young children.
Duties include:
- Carrying out basic repairs (e.g. fixing toys, furniture, doors)
- Checking and maintaining indoor and outdoor play equipment
- Ensuring the nursery is safe and secure at all times
- Painting, decorating, and general upkeep
- Putting up shelves, displays, and equipment
- Reporting any hazards or larger repair needs
- Keeping storage and maintenance areas tidy
- Supporting staff with moving furniture or setting up rooms
- Carrying out regular safety checks of the building and grounds
- Basic gardening and outdoor area maintenance
Pay: £12.75-£20.00 per hour
