Our client is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Contract Manager to oversee a portfolio of grounds maintenance contracts near Chelmsford, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the commercial landscaping world, has a solid grasp of arboriculture, and can confidently manage contracts from both an operational and financial perspective.

About the Role:
As a Contract Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial grounds maintenance and associated arboricultural services across a range of sites. You will be the link between the client, the operational teams, and the wider business, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing commercial grounds maintenance contracts across your designated area
• Overseeing operational delivery to ensure work is completed to a high standard
• Leading and supporting site teams, ensuring productivity, quality, and morale remain high
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as the main point of contact
• Pricing new contracts, additional works, and variations
• Managing contract administration and ensuring accurate record keeping
Requirements:
Essential -
• Proven experience in commercial grounds maintenance
• Good understanding of the arboricultural sector
• Experience managing contracts and running operational teams
• Proven ability to price contracts and extra works
• Strong contract administration skills
• Experience managing budgets and P&L
Desirable -
• Forward-thinking and solution-focused
• Dynamic, hands-on, and driven
• Confident dealing with both clients and operatives
