Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to deliver excellent grounds maintenance services and manage a small team of operatives in Bristol. The ideal candidate will be play an important role in ensuring the success of our grounds maintenance operations.
As a Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading a small team of grounds maintenance operatives in performing a variety of tasks, including mowing, trimming, spraying and debris removal
- Providing guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high-quality work and adherence to Health & Safety protocols
- Planning and organizing daily work assignments, prioritising tasks, and ensuring that deadlines are met
- Conducting regular inspections of grounds to identify extra maintenance works and address any client issues promptly
- Monitoring stock levels of tools, and supplies in your vehicle, working with your Contract Manager as appropriate
- Promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and fostering a positive work environment for all team members.
What we're looking for:
- Hands-on ground maintenance experience, with stronger leadership and customer service excellence.
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of groundskeeping techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- A commitment to Health and safety whilst able to adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
