They are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their esteemed team.

Their team of skilled gardeners and arborists is dedicated to maintaining a picturesque haven for students, staff, and visitors alike. About the Role:
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be an integral part of a team responsible for the upkeep of various sites, including the iconic University Parks. Your duties will include weeding, pruning, mowing, and edging, ensuring that each area remains pristine and inviting. Working in teams of two to three, you will contribute to both general grounds maintenance and more detailed gardening tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform weeding, pruning, mowing, and edging tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain various sites.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all areas are kept clean and presentable.
• Assist in the upkeep of over 200 sites across the university estate.
• Participate in internal training for machinery use.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Proven experience in gardening and grounds maintenance.
• Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo internal training.
Desirable:
• Lantra tickets for ride-on mowers or other large equipment.
• Experience working in a similar institutional setting.
• Knowledge of sustainable gardening practices.
