Folly Contractors is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of multiple construction, civils, landscaping and sports pitch projects across South Wales.
This is a varied, site-based role where you will help oversee works across multiple live projects, ensuring standards remain high, programmes stay on track, and work is delivered safely, efficiently and professionally.
The position would suit someone with strong setting out experience, good construction knowledge and a positive, hands-on approach. The role
As Site Engineer, you will assist with managing multiple sites across South Wales, supporting project delivery from site preparation through to completion and handover.
You will be responsible for setting out a wide range of projects, including:
Experience using GPS systems and AutoCAD would be highly beneficial, particularly for adjusting schemes, producing setting out information and completing as-built surveys.

We have experience delivering 3G, 4G and sand-dressed pitches, as well as natural sports turf schemes, play areas and MUGA projects. Our in-house teams support projects from base construction, kerbing and drainage through to equipment installation, surfacing, landscaping and final handover.

What you'll be doing

Setting out levels, site measurements and construction details across multiple projects

Working on civils, landscaping, play area, sports pitch and groundwork schemes

Assisting with the management of multiple sites concurrently

Producing RAMS and monitoring them throughout project delivery

Supporting site preparation before construction works begin

Assisting with coordination of site supervisors, subcontractors, labourers and trades

Liaising with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders to support timely delivery of materials, machinery and services

Supporting resource planning across machinery, labour and materials

Carrying out regular inspections and quality checks

Maintaining high standards of health, safety, workmanship and site presentation

Assisting the commercial team with budget tracking and project reporting

Preparing detailed reports on project status, site performance and progress

Producing as-built information and relevant O&M details for project handover files

Maintaining strong client relationships and providing progress updates where required
What we're looking for

Valid SMSTS certification

Experience using GPS systems

AutoCAD experience would be beneficial

Previous experience across construction, civils, landscaping, groundwork or sports pitch projects

Strong understanding of construction processes, health and safety regulations and industry standards

Ability to produce and monitor RAMS

Experience setting out drainage systems, foundations, kerbs, utilities and site levels

Good knowledge of groundwork quality standards

Experience coordinating with site managers, contractors, suppliers and other trades

Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines

Full UK driving licence

A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work across multiple sites
