Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Gardener Team Leader to oversee and coordinate gardening maintenance and projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong horticultural knowledge, leadership skills, be able to drive a van,

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of gardeners in daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Drive a van
- Plan and organise gardening activities, including planting, pruning, mowing, and landscape maintenance
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
- Oversee the use of horticultural equipment and ensure proper maintenance and storage
- Assist with specialised tasks such as planting new flora, soil preparation, fertilisation, and pest control
- Monitor progress of projects, report on team performance, and implement improvements as necessary
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all activities
- Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices in gardening and landscape care
- Liaise with clients or project managers to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions
Experience
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance roles
- Have a driving licence
- Demonstrable leadership experience in managing a team within a horticultural environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and other gardening equipment
- Growing experience including planting techniques, soil management, and plant care
- Familiarity with health & safety regulations related to outdoor work environments
- Ability to organise workload effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £18.50-£20.00 per hour
