Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative to maintain padel courts and other artificial sports surfaces across the UK.
About Our Client:
Our client is a growing company specialising in the maintenance of padel courts and artificial sports surfaces. They are committed to delivering high-quality services and building strong relationships with their clients.
About the Role:
This varied, hands-on position involves maintaining sports surfaces, conducting routine inspections, performing minor repairs, and managing client relationships. You will be responsible for delivering top-notch maintenance services while helping to expand the company's maintenance offerings. The role requires extensive UK travel with regular overnight stays, potentially Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of padel courts and artificial sports surfaces.
• Undertake mechanical brushing, infill redistribution, and surface cleaning.
• Inspect artificial turf, seams, and surface conditions, completing minor repairs where appropriate.
• Identify and address moss, algae, and weed growth.
• Carry out visual inspections of glass panels, steel structures, fencing, nets, and court infrastructure.
• Check drainage systems and identify potential defects or maintenance requirements.
• Operate and maintain specialist surface maintenance machinery.
• Complete maintenance reports, photographic records, and recommendations for remedial works.
• Build positive relationships with clients and provide advice on ongoing court maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for additional maintenance work and ongoing service contracts.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
• Experience in grounds maintenance, sports surface maintenance, or a similar practical role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good practical and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to organise workload and work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and stay away from home.
Desirable:
• Previous experience maintaining padel courts or artificial sports surfaces.
• Knowledge of artificial turf maintenance, brushing, and infill management.
• Experience operating specialist maintenance machinery.
• Experience identifying maintenance requirements and potential additional work.
