Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to deliver excellent grounds maintenance services and manage a small team of operatives in Bristol. The ideal candidate will be play an important role in ensuring the success of our grounds maintenance operations.

As a Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for:

Leading a small team of grounds maintenance operatives in performing a variety of tasks, including mowing, trimming, spraying and debris removal
Providing guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high-quality work and adherence to Health & Safety protocols
Planning and organizing daily work assignments, prioritising tasks, and ensuring that deadlines are met
Conducting regular inspections of grounds to identify extra maintenance works and address any client issues promptly
Monitoring stock levels of tools, and supplies in your vehicle, working with your Contract Manager as appropriate
Promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and fostering a positive work environment for all team members.

What we're looking for:

Hands-on ground maintenance experience, with stronger leadership and customer service excellence.
Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of groundskeeping techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
A commitment to Health and safety whilst able to adhere to company policies and procedures.
Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
