Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Gardener to support our horticultural team in maintaining and enhancing a variety of outdoor landscapes. This role involves assisting with planting, pruning, and general landscape maintenance tasks to ensure the health and aesthetic appeal of our gardens. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, along with practical experience using hand tools and power tools. Responsibilities

Assist with planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants and shrubs
Operate hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
Support with lawn mowing, edging, and general landscape maintenance tasks
Help in the installation and upkeep of garden features and structures
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
Assist with plant propagation and growing activities as required
Support team members in ongoing horticultural projects to promote healthy growth and landscape aesthetics

Requirements

Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential; a keen interest in gardening is necessary
Practical knowledge of using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
Growing experience or familiarity with plant care techniques is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good physical fitness to undertake outdoor work in varying weather conditions
A genuine passion for gardening, horticulture, and landscape aesthetics
