We are now seeking an experienced, hard-working Grounds Maintenance Operative with additional light building or property maintenance experience to join our team in London and surrounding areas.
The Role
This is a dynamic and varied role suited to someone confident in both grounds maintenance and small-scale building/property works. You will work across commercial and residential sites, often independently, and must be flexible with travel across the region (a company vehicle will be provided).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Scag stand-on and ride-on mowers, and other commercial grounds maintenance equipment
- Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, weed control, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces
- Applying herbicides and pesticides safely (PA1 & PA6 essential)
- Carrying out minor property maintenance or small-scale building works (e.g. fencing, paving, basic repairs)
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a professional and courteous approach with clients and the public
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certifications (essential)
- Proven experience in professional grounds maintenance (essential)
- Experience with Scag or similar mowers
- Light building or property maintenance experience (essential)
- Lantra or other horticultural/trade qualifications (desirable)
- Strong reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
