We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Grounds Maintenance Manager to lead and support our Grounds Maintenance service for a period of up to six months.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and qualified individual to oversee a large operational workforce, drive service standards, and make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced local authority environment.Location: Wade Road Depot, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 8PLRate: £43.00 per hour (Umbrella)Contract: 6 Months +Working Arrangement: Fully On-Site (No Hybrid)Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Grounds Maintenance team across the boroughEnsure high-quality service delivery and compliance with standardsConduct regular site visits and oversee operational activitiesCommunicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and the publicQuickly learn and adapt to internal systems and processesYou will have:A qualification in horticulture or a related disciplineA proven track record of managing a large Grounds Maintenance workforceA strong customer-focused approachExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to pick up new systems quicklyA proactive attitude and desire to make a positive differenceA full driving licenceThis position is fully based at the Wade Road Depot, with site visits forming a key part of the role.
