We're looking for a proactive, reliable Handyperson / Engineering Operative to help us keep our facilities safe, clean and functional. You’ll cover everything from plumbing and carpentry to general repairs, decorating, grounds maintenance and routine checks across our busy airport environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Handling day to day repairs and maintenance across the terminal, passenger areas, back of house spaces and car parks.
- Carrying out plumbing, carpentry, decorating and general handyperson tasks.
- Inspecting roofs, drainage systems, emergency lighting and fire doors.
- Supporting compliance and safety tasks.
- Escorting contractors working airside and ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Working independently and proactively
What we’re looking for
- Someone who is confident working on their own and as part of a team in a busy, fast moving environment.
- Experience in general maintenance/handyperson work (plumbing, carpentry, minor repairs).
- A positive, practical problem solver with good attention to detail.
- Comfortable with a 24/7 operation and 12 hour shifts (4-on/4-off: 2 days, 2 nights).
- A safety mindset.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Living within 1 hour of Bristol Airport.
