Scapes Group provides high quality Cleaning, Window Cleaning and Ground Maintenance services throughout the South including Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hants, Berks, Bucks, Essex, Herts and London. Our client base consists mainly of Housing Associations, but also includes offices, residential care homes, private estates and local authorities.
We are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team and to oversee contracts covering Surrey which includes Hailsham to Redhill and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a small regional team delivering a wide range of services, in a safe and efficient way. Providing a high quality, value for money service that meets or exceeds our clients and their residents’ expectations, are core to our business.
Quality Control, staffing and building strong customer relationships will be key to your success. Whilst support and guidance will be provided, our ethos is to empower our Contracts Managers to run their teams efficiently, effectively and without the need for daily supervision.
Candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate previous contract management experience within the Grounds Maintenance sector (ideally with housing associations or similar), and reside within or close to Brighton.
We are looking for a team-player with strong leadership qualities. You will be a key part of a busy and expanding company. You will organise and oversee the services we provide to our clients and ensure that these services are provided in a timely and efficient manner, which will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Organise staff under your control
- Recruitment, training & mentoring
- Budgeting / planning
- Allocating work schedules with due consideration for staff skills, training, qualifications, and experience
- Maintain Health and Safety Standards on sites
- Follow quality procedures and highlight opportunities for improvement
- Comply with environmental legislation/ regulations
- Ensure economical and efficient use of company resources throughout all activities
The successful Contracts Manager will have:
- An excellent client facing manner
- Experience in a similar role for more than 5 years
- Well-versed in all cleaning methodologies and procedures
- PA1/PA6 would be an advantage
- Full UK Driving licence
- Self-motivation with the ability to use own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Good administration skills
- Able to coordinate a team of operatives of different disciplines to achieve the best results
Working hours are usually 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
