Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 15:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. The role involves maintaining outdoor areas to a high standard, ensuring green spaces are tidy, safe, and well presented. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian lawn mowers
- Strimming and edging around pathways, fences, and landscaped areas
- Hedge trimming, pruning, and general vegetation control
- Maintaining flower beds, borders, and planted areas
- Operating and maintaining power tools and equipment safely
- Clearing leaves, litter, and debris from grounds and outdoor spaces
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor work
- Experience using equipment such as lawn mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, and other power tools
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
What We Offer:
- £12.71 per hour
- Consistent weekday working hours with early finish on Fridays
