Our client, a prominent sports turf company with a strong presence in Eastern Europe, Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, is seeking a dedicated Head Groundsperson to oversee the maintenance of a stadium pitch and a training ground pitch in Sofia, Bulgaria.

About the Role:
As the Head Groundsperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the stadium pitch and training ground pitch, utilising advanced technology such as C-heat and UV lights. You will manage your own schedule based on game days and pitch conditions, ensuring the highest standards of pitch maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain the stadium pitch and training ground pitch using advanced technology.
• Manage your schedule based on game days and pitch needs.
• Coordinate with other grounds staff for efficient site management.
• Ensure the pitch is in top condition, addressing any grass diseases.
• Operate and maintain new machinery and equipment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project goals.
Requirements:
Essential -
• Extensive experience in stadium hybrid pitches (fescue and low-volume grass).
• Proficiency with fluid-based heating systems.
• Strong understanding of grass diseases related to climate change.
• Proven ability to manage schedules and coordinate with other staff.
• Experience with new pitch maintenance technology.
Desirable -
• Experience in sports turf management in a stadium setting.
• Knowledge of local climate and grass disease challenges.
• Familiarity with the sports turf industry in Eastern Europe.
