Our client is looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team. You will work alongside an experienced team member, supporting the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance services across a range of commercial sites.

About the Role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will work as part of a mobile team, travelling to various commercial sites to carry out a range of grounds maintenance and horticultural duties.
The working day will start at 6am, with travel to sites throughout the local area. You will work alongside an experienced colleague and support the completion of scheduled maintenance activities to a high standard.
Your duties will include:
- Pedestrian mowing
- Hedge cutting
- Strimming
- Litter picking
- General grounds maintenance
- Weeding and maintaining planted areas
- Basic horticultural duties
- Internal plant care, including pruning and watering where required
- General upkeep and maintenance of commercial outdoor areas
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
You may also have some interaction with clients and site contacts, so a professional and approachable manner is important.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to start work from 6am
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of work
Desirable
- Experience working on commercial grounds maintenance contracts
- Horticultural experience or knowledge
- Experience with internal plant care
- PA1/PA6 qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
