Are you a hands-on Hard Landscaper who takes pride in accurate preparation and a well-finished job? Our client is seeking a Hard Landscaper for an initial site in Deptford, London. With all tools provided, an immediate start available and a minimum three-month rolling engagement, this role offers practical work across block paving, edgings and foundations.
About Our Client:
Our client undertakes hard landscaping work and is engaging additional self-employed support for site delivery. The work covers the preparation, construction and finishing tasks that create durable, usable outdoor spaces.
About the Role:
As a Hard Landscaper, you will carry out ground preparation and installation work, paying close attention to levels, alignment and the quality of the finished surface. You will bring a practical approach to daily site tasks, working safely and coordinating with others to keep work progressing. A vehicle is also available, dependent on licence checks and your location.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and excavate work areas, establishing suitable levels and compacted bases.
• Client block paving with consistent alignment, falls and a neat finish.
• Install edgings and kerbs to secure surfaces and define boundaries.
• Undertake foundation preparation and associated concrete works.
• Check measurements, levels and finished work, addressing defects as you go.
• Use tools safely and keep work areas tidy, organised and accessible.
Requirements:
Essential -
• Proven practical experience relevant to a Hard Landscaper role.
• Ability to undertake block paving, edging and foundation work.
• Confidence measuring, setting out and checking levels.
• A careful approach to workmanship and site safety.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with others on site.
• A full UK driving licence.
Desirable -
• Experience with drainage and surface-water falls.
• Familiarity with different paving materials and laying patterns.
• Experience completing a range of groundworks alongside hard landscaping.
